Search for Boca Raton Oceanfront Condos

Looking for a Florida vacation home can be mind boggling. Maybe Boca Raton, Jupiter or Hutchinson Island? With so many different towns and communities, where do you start? Friends say go to the West Coast, others said stay on the East Coast. Head North as that is the way the people are migrating. I don't know! First the is quite a difference between the East and West Coasts of Florida. The West Coast has always been a bit sleepy and a retirement community. The winters are colder and the summers are hotter. More mid west buyers seem to head to the West Coast and more tri-state buyers come to the East Coast.  I have had customers leave the East Coast and can't wait to get back to the East Coast. Search for Boca Raton Oceanfront Properties

It's time to start looking for the perfect oceanfront condo in Florida. There are so many towns and areas of Florida so where do I begin? First lets narrow down an area here in Florida. The East Coast or the West Coast? The East Coast seems to be more popular among Northeasterner people and the West Coast is more popular for Mid -West people. The East Coast offers warmer weather in most cases as well as warmer ocean waters form the Gulfstream. The activities and amenities of the East Coast are more in line with the Northeast with lots of restaurants and shopping. Just more going on here on the East Coast.

Boca Raton Inlet

Many of you may not have heard of Highland Beach as it is overshadowed by the neighboring towns of Boca Raton and Delray Beach. Well this small strip of land sits just East of both cities and has the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other side. The town of Highland Beach is just two miles long and not much wider than a few hundred yards. In most cases the A1A strip has a condo on each side of the road. The condos are either oceanfront or Intracoastal facing. There are several townhouse communities as wel as deep waterfront homes in Highland Beach. There is a small strip of ocanfront homes on the South end of the Island as you reach Boca Raton oceanfront condos. The little town offers

Condos in Seagate of Highland Beach

The Seagate of Highland Beach condo complex was built in 1971 and features 4 buildings sitting on the Intracoastal side of A1A. Each building has 10 floors with 8 units per floor. The community features some covered parking spots and some open spots. They have locked lobby entrances for security and amenities include a clubhouse with a billiards room and two community pools as well as the infamous shuffleboard courts almost every condo built in the 70's had. They have dock spaces available for rent which can hold up to 30 ft boat or so. The only caveat is that it is not a  no wake zone so the waves crashing off the seawalls can really rock your boat. Boat dockage is very inexpensive to rent and always readily

Condos in Boca Raton For Sale

We continue to hear about the recovering real estate market around the country. Since 2006 when the Florida real estate market hit prices never seen before buyers were scurrying to purchase  any property that came on the market. What I have seen with this recovery is a different buyer and buyer's mentality. No longer is the buyer a highly leveraged buyer but nearly 3/4 of the buyers today are paying cash. The other difference is today's buyer is more selective than ever and they will wait till that perfect property comes along. I continue to hear many potential buyers feeling that we are due for a correction in the real estate market. With many communities still 30% below peak 2006 prices I still continue to feel upward

Buying a Condo in Boca Raton

Boca Raton condo living

Many buyers start looking at condos as an option when considering a move to Florida. I get many questions regarding a condo purchase vs a single family home purchase and the benefits of each. Here are a few quick tips to remember when purchasing a second home here in Florida. Remember it is a vacation home, your not stuck in it all winter long like up North. You are out golfing, tennis or boating. You are going out to dinner and out for entertainment. It's a vacation. How big a condo do you need. Do you ask for a 2000 sq. ft hotel room when going on vacation. Of course not. So remember that when purchasing a wintyer residence. It's not your full time home.

Highland Beach Living

You will be amazed at some of the values of waterfront properties in Highland Beach. The beachfront community features waterfront condos starting at just under $200,000. You will find some of these waterfront bargains in places such as Seagate of Highland which sits on the intracoastal and the Ambassadors condos which sit facing the Atlantic ocean directly on the sand. Both of these waterfront communities date back to the early 1970s and feature standard two bedroom two bath floorplans ranging from a 1,000 square feet to about 1300 ft.². Both communities feature community pools and clubhouses. Seagate of Highland gives you the opportunity to dock a boat behind your condo. If your budget is just around 200,000 you can check out

Highland Beach Waterfront Condos

When customers ask about Highland Beach I am very surprised they have heard of the small little beachfront community. Most people usually know someone living in Highland Beach or just stumble across it. Before moving to Florida in 1979 I had never heard of the town except my grandparents retired from NJ and moved there in 1971. It was time to head off to college and what better place than Florida. Warm weather, beaches and girls in bilkini's. Spring Break in Ft. Lauderdale was the rage and I remember reading about it in a car magazine about cruising the strip.

Off to Highland Beach

1979 brought a hurricane to Florida just a few weeks before moving down. Back then driving down I-95 ended at PGA blvd in Palm Beach

Looking to buy oceanfront condos in Boca Raton FL

My favorite show as a realtor is Bravo TV's Million Dollar Listing New York and the newest series Million Dollar Listing Miami. After watching the series I can't believe how inexpensive Florida real estate is here in Boca Raton and Palm Beach County compared to New York or Miami Beach. Of course my favorite character is Frederick on the New York show. He is always amusing and a get a great laugh out of him and he never holds back. He tells you like it is no matter if you want to hear it or like what he has to say but he is always right. After watching a season of Million Dollar Listing New York of course I had to watch the Miami show as this in right in our backyard. Miami had a building boom condo
