Singer island oceanfront condos
Singer island is a barrier island with the Lake Worth inlet on the South end and MacArthur state Park on the North end. South in singer island has a small town called Palm Beach shores which is reminiscent of old Florida with small motels and beach cottages that were built as winter retreats. Palm Beach shores has a few attractions such as sailfish Marina which is home to a fleet of sportfishing boats that can be chartered to go offshore for a day of fishing. After a long day of fishing you may want to have a drink and some food at the restaurant overlooking the Marina. Over at the ocean the Marriott has several timeshares the other popular among tourists looking for a vacation in Florida. The public beach has just been revitalized and includes the new ocean mall which is home to several small restaurants and bars as well as beach shops. Just to the north of the ocean mall you will see the Ritz-Carlton singer island condos. The Ritz-Carlton singer island has become the crown jewel of condos on singer island. Just to the north you will notice the Tiarra which was once the crown jewel of the island. It rises 42 stories high with a restaurant at the top to tower. The condo was destroyed in hurricane Wilma and was rebuilt in 2009 to today's standards.
During the building boom of 2000 many small mom-and-pop hotels were torn down and replaced with luxury Singer Island oceanfront condos. With nearly a half dozen or more new condos were built during the boom. Each developer strived to outdo the previous condo development.
No longer were 2,000 sq. ft . condos large enough. We started to see three and 4000 ft.² condos as the norm. Some of the condos were building five and 6000 square-foot penthouse condos in hopes of outdoing one another and looking for the luxury condo buyer. The oceanfront condos on Singer Island range from early 1970's style condos that are 1,200 to 1,500 sq. ft and mostly 2Bd /2Ba units all the way up to the luxury condos such as the Ritz Carlton on Singer Island. Some of my favorite early condos are the Water Glades on the North end of the Island with 3 buildings on 14 acres with wrap around balconies and ever condo is a corner unit which gives you incredible views and lots of light. The Dunes Tower is another older similar condo that is not quite as nice as Water Glades but the views are incredible as the condo sits right on the dune line.
Looking for a larger condo you may want to take a look at Martinique on Singer Island. They are 2,000 and 2,300 sq. ft condos with a on-site restaurant and a very active community. Many people ask about the Resort at Singer Island. This condo is two separate buildings with one side having large 3,000 sq. ft private residences and the other half of the building is resort style 1 and 2 bedroom condos. They offer restaurants, beautiful resort style pool, beach cabanas and everything you would expect at a world class resort. The condos can go into the vacation rental which is run by Marriot to reduce some of the carrying costs of the condos.
